The Amazon Rainforest is the ecosystem of largest diversity in our planet. Large parts of this mysterious rainforest are still unknown, and most of the jungle is only accessible by navigating on the mighty Amazon River. Hence, it is not surprising that taking a trip to the Amazon Rainforest is many travelers’ dream. We had the chance to spend a couple of weeks in this world incomparable to anything we had seen before, and the animals, the plants, the flooded villages we saw are amongst our most amazing travel memories. We are sure that our photos will make you want to take a trip to the Amazon Rainforest.

Love South America too.
Thanks Claus!
Have always wanted to visit the amazon and your pictures has just reignited that! Stunning pictures, thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks very much! The Amazon is pretty amazing!
Incredible pictures and variety. So glad to have seen these. Just the little I’ve seen of South America makes me long to spend much more time there. Your post will have to satisfy that wanderlust till I can make it.
Thanks for your kind comment Elaine! The Amazon is really an amazing place to visit, there are so many different things to see!
This looks like such an amazing trip! I would love to see a pink dolphin! Also, your photos are great 🙂
The trip to the Amazon was really one of our best experiences! I am also happy that you liked the pictures!
Oh yes, you’ve got me convinced! 🙂 How did you travel from one place to another?
We did one part of the trip by boat (from Santarém to Belém), which took 3 and a half days! From Santarém we flew to Manaus. Thanks for your comment!
Wow! Incredible photography and it really does make me want to go and explore the Amazon. I love watching wildlife and being in tropical surroundings. I love the idea of seeing lizards like that one and just being so immersed in nature. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Kate for this lovely comment! The Amazon is such an inspiring place, it’s hard to take bad pictures there!
An Amazon cruise is near the top of my wishlist- great photos!
Thanks for your comment!
Amazing photos. Love the one of the sloth (my favorite animal).
Thanks Michael! yeah, the sloths are really cute animals!
Wow, the pink dolphin. I have never seen those magnificent creatures before! Beautiful.
Amazing animals for sure. Thanks for your comment!
I don’t need to see amazing photos to convince me I want to experience the Amazon, but they certainly remind me that I really need to go one day, seeing as I’ve had an obsession with the place since I was a teenager (used to have Amazon posters on my bedroom walls rather than pop stars!).
The Amazon had been one of our dreams, too. I hope you can experience it yourself very soon!
Wow!!! Looks amazing. You’re right, I want to go now. 🙂
Thanks Christine, hope you can go there for real!
Yep! Each and every one of these photos makes me want to plan a trip to the Amazon Rainforest!
Thanks for your comment!
Wow, I can believe you have seen the pink dolphin! I thought this is almost excint animal spieces! It must have been such a great animal encounter!
It was really amazing, and it’s not so easy to take a picture of them as they don’t jump out of the water like other dolphins!
Lovely, lovely pictures of the amazing amazon. I have seen photos of nature before, but the photos of the local people made this series special. Would love to see more of them. Also looking at those lovely pictures would like to ask you, how do you deal with image piracy?
Thanks for your comment! I am really glad that you liked our photos! As image piracy is concerned, uploading the photos in a reasonably low quality and using watermark, this is the maximum I think I can do about it.
wow! I enjoyed every bit of your tour pics and commentary. I actually looked up this topic on google and stumbled on your post. so you see that I yearn to visit the amazon forest soon. I thought of having my honeymoon there when I get married but then I once watched a movie about this amazon rainforest that had big anacondas, and they swallowed some tourists.. lol.. so I’m a little scared for my future wife.. you didn’t mention anything about anacondas, tell me its a lie, and that the jungle is safe from them.. hehehe
Hi David! I think the possibility of getting eaten by an anaconda is almost zero. You will not walk alone in remote parts of the jungle at night, hence it’s so unlikely to get attacked by any large animal, let alone an anaconda. These animals live as far as possible they can from human, so it’s very difficult to come across one. A jungle excursion like those we did can be considered safe, if you go with responsible guides. If you want, we work together with a tour guide in the Amazon near Santarem, we can connect you with him, just drop us an email. Have a lovely day!
